A herbarium is a store house of scientific botanical specimens. With adequate arrangements for the preservation of specimens. It serves as a quick reference for identification of plants collected in the field all over the country during the sampling exercises. It is used in production of check-lists of National and local flora. The herbarium also serves as a teaching and demonstration center.
